Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are
currently in England for several days of engagements (plus a quick trip to
Germany!), and the couple are said to have no plans whatsoever to meet up
with Prince William and Kate Middleton. You know, despite the fact that
for the latter half of the trip they’ll be staying five minutes away from each
other.
The Sun reports that
senior royals are “keen to avoid” the Sussexes until after Prince
Harry’s memoir comes out later this year. Prince William specifically
“feels he cannot trust his younger brother not to repeat their
conversations,” while Prince Charles and the Queen also have “no
immediate plans” to see the couple during their trip.
As royal biographer, Angela
Levin tells the outlet, “I think it’s likely that Catherine and William will
try to avoid any contact with Harry and Meghan until they know the contents of
Harry’s memoirs and their Netflix documentary. They have lost their chance of
being trusted as the chance is they will use any conversation.”
So… when is Prince Harry’s
memoir coming out? There’s been speculation that it could hit shelves in time
for the Thanksgiving/Christmas market, but Page Six recently revealed
that it might be pushed to 2023 due to being full of “truth bombs” that
Harry’s unsure about publishing.
But a source tells The Sun the
book is done: “The manuscript has been finished and gone through all of
the legal processes. It’s done and out of Harry’s hands. The publishing date
has been pushed back once but it is on track for the end of the year.”
