A woman has caused quite the stir online after claiming that her boyfriend cheated on her with his own mother.

TikTok user Emma, who goes by @mingus.mingus believed to be based in the US, took to the video sharing platform to make the scandalous revelation.

She explained how she should ‘probably go to therapy’ to discuss the alleged encounter’.

And viewers were left horrified as one claimed: ‘Nothing could have prepared me for this.’

Days before the viral video, she posted content related to an ex-boyfriend.

In the five-second clip posted last week with 5.4 million views, Emma stares into the camera as the text reads, ‘Me realizing that my ex cheating on me with his own mother is something that I should probably go to therapy for and not something that I just joke with my friends about.’

The clip, which was uploaded last week, has taken the internet by storm – having so far been viewed more than 5.2 million times.

In it, the heartbroken social media user can be seen laying down as she gazes toward the camera.

She maintains a vacant facial expression throughout and does not say a single word during the five-second video.

Instead, she lets the overlaid text tell the sordid story.

It reads: ‘Me realizing that my ex cheating on me with his own mother is probably something that I should go to therapy for and not something that I just joke with my friends about.’

She uploaded the clip alongside a caption that read: ‘I be like “ay remember that one time.”‘ And viewers were left stunned by the shocking anecdote.

One wrote: ‘I think everybody involved in the situation should also go [to therapy].’

Another added: ‘I just nervously laughed. I can’t handle this info.’

And a third said: ‘The way I moved closer to the phone to make sure I was reading that right.’

Many others asked Emma to produce a follow up video in order to lay bare the full details of the story.

But she is yet to give her 18,000 followers any further detail.
