A murder investigation was launched after the body of a woman was pulled out of a river in Wales.
Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed the 34-year-old was found in River Severn, outside Llanidloes, at around 4pm on Sunday.
The force arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of murder later the same, and he remains in custody.
According to Metro, officers are now appealing for witnesses and want to speak to anyone who might have seen the two or has dashcam footage of them over the weekend.
The victim is described as white, 5ft 4ins, of small build, with very long dreadlocks, which were past her waist.
She was wearing a grey-coloured top, dark trousers and white trainers.
Meanwhile, the man is described as white, 6ft tall, of stocky build with dreadlocks in his hair and a dark-coloured bandana.
He is said to have been wearing a short sleeve, high vis-style jacket, T-shirt, shorts and light-coloured trainers, and was carrying a black bag with a single strap.
He also had a small, dark-coloured dog with him.Witnesses may have seen them in Llanidloes or on the A470 between Llanidloes and Dolwen over the weekend.
Officers are also keen to speak with the person who gave the man and his dog a lift between Welshpool and Shrewsbury.
It is believed he was dropped off near the Dinky’s Dinahs layby in Shrewsbury on Sunday.
Police are not currently looking for anyone else as part of the investigation.
