Prince Harry reportedly has a private room set aside for him at a luxury hotel as an ‘escape’ from his California home.
The Duke of Sussex has a room kept on hold at a chain in Montecito, close to the £12 million mansion he shares with Meghan Markle, according to The Sun.
Sources have revealed the Duke of Sussex has been staying at a private hotel room without Meghan Markle and children.
Reports that the royal couple spend some nights apart have emerged after they failed to post any photos commemorating their fifth wedding anniversary on Friday.
Harry is also thought to have a second hideaway pad at San Vicente Bungalows, a private members club in Los Angeles, near where he attends a gym class called Barry’s Bootcamp.
Prince Harry often retreats to the ‘uber exclusive’ club when in LA, just a short two hour ride from his and Meghan’s £11 million mansion, according to a report by Camilla Tominey.
A source, who is a supposed member of a secretive members club in West Hollywood, told the paper: ‘That seems to be his escape place.’ This spot, it is claimed, also bans journalists from joining.
The San Vicente Bungalows has firm rules in place to protect its elite members, including strictly prohibiting members from discussing anything that people or their guests witness inside the club.
It also has rules against approaching strangers and taking photos – which are both not allowed.
Applicants are apparently vetted by a panel that’s thought to include American actress Julia Roberts.
Harry and Meghan have repeatedly insisted on their right to privacy after breaking ties with the royal family and moving to the US.
Recently, the royal couple made headlines after they were subjected to a ‘near catastrophic’ car chase at the hands of local paparazzi in New York, which they claimed involved two ‘near misses’.
