Sarah Ferguson announced that she and her close friend, entrepreneur Sarah Jane Thomson, are launching a podcast called “Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah.”
“It’s about time we spilled the tea,” the Duchess of York and ex-wife of disgraced Prince Andrew wrote on Instagram Monday.
Thompson also gave a glimpse of what listeners can expect from the new project.
“We’ll spill the tea, chat about our weeks, and sometimes even set the record straight!” she wrote on her account. It’s going to be a whole lot of fun and I can’t wait.”
Ferguson and Thompson plan to discuss “hot topics” and will be joined by special guests, according to the official description of the weekly podcast.
“These two great friends will approach everything with infectious enthusiasm and a healthy dose of humor,” it reads. “The Duchess and Sarah promise to leave no stone unturned, and no biscuit un-dunked.”
Thompson added in the trailer of the podcast that she and Ferguson will focus on “the highs and lows of everyday life – yours, ours, and anything in the news.”
Hours before announcing her latest endeavor, Ferguson teased the podcast by posting a photo of herself sipping from a teacup.
“Tea is served,” she captioned the cheeky post.
Royal fans expressed how excited they were to hear Ferguson’s point of view on current events.
“I look forward to it. And it’s always so nice to hear you speak so kindly about Harry and Megan [sic] that’s a classy lady that you are,” one fan commented on the duchess’ post.
“I bet there is a lot of tea to spill. I will be listening,” a second person wrote.
“This is going to be great love listening to your conversations good luck cx,” a third added.
Ferguson’s podcast launch comes after she was snubbed from receiving an invitation to King Charles III’s coronation ceremony.
In April, Page Six confirmed that Ferguson, 63, was not on the star-studded guest list for Charles and Queen Camilla’s crowning ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London on May 6.
But Ferguson was not surprised by the king’s decision to leave her off the list considering she is no longer a royal family member following her divorce from Andrew, 63, in 1996.
“You can’t have it both ways. You mustn’t sit on the fence. You’re either in or out, but don’t muck around,” she said on “Good Morning Britain” in April of not being invited.
The “A Most Intriguing Lady” author added that she was not “actually offended” by the snub.
“Just because I’m not there on the state occasion … in private I can be there, and that’s a lovely feeling to be part of the family. It really is,” she explained.
Ferguson separated from the Duke of York in 1992 after six years of marriage, and they finalized their divorce four years later.
The exes share daughters Princess Beatrice, 34, and Princess Eugenie, 33, both of whom attended the coronation.
