Man stabbed to death in a car in London, killer at large

A 29-year-old man passed away in a fatal stabbing in southeast London on Wednesday, May 10.

Police officers rushed to Malyons Road, in Ladywell, Lewisham, just after 2pm in the residential area after the news reached them.

The victim was discovered in a car with serious stab wounds. But despite the best efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Though he has not been formally identified, his next of kin have been informed by specially trained officers.

Footage from the scene shared on social media show officers taping off Malyons Road. A broken bike was found at the scene.

No arrests have yet been made, but the force has launched an investigation into his death and the site is being treated as a crime scene and is being investigated by the Met Police.

There are reports the man was stabbed in the neck, but the Met police is yet to confirm this.

A spokesperson for the force said: ‘Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command have been informed and enquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing.

‘A post-mortem examination will take place in due course. There have been no arrests.’

The man’s close relatives have been notified and will receive assistance from specialised personnel.
