A video shared online during the naming ceremony of a newborn baby shows a woman saying an unusual prayer for the baby.
The naming ceremony was underway when the woman saying the prayer placed a pen in the baby’s hand.
She then prayed that baby Akorede’s name will be written amongst future leaders who would use pen to embezzle Nigeria’s funds.
The prayer has raised brows and led to a conversation about how corruption has become acceptable in Nigeria.
