One fan said: “She was married to Joe.” Others were even judging Meghan Markle saying that she left Joe to marry Prince Harry.
These are false allegations and conspiracy theories built without any proof. No documents, pictures, or any other sources confirm that Meghan Markle ever got married to a man called Joe Giuliano.
The truth is that Meghan Markle only got married twice.
Her first husband was American film producer Trevor Engelson. The pair tied the knot on September 10, 2011, in Jamaica.
However, the couple decided to file for a divorce in August 2013 because of “irreconcilable differences”.
A source claimed to Woman’s Day Magazine that her role as Rachel Zane on Suits was to blame.
The insider said: “Meghan landed her role in Suits just a few months before they married. And despite being together for six years before getting hitched, things started to fall apart not long after the wedding.
“They really battled with long distances. Trevor was based in LA while Meghan was in Toronto, a five-hour flight away. It was a very difficult way to start married life.”
Meghan recovered and moved on from her divorce and Trevor and then met Prince Harry. The two announced their relationship through Clarence House in November 2016. They had a royal wedding on May 19, 2018, and now live in the US together with two children – Archie and Lilibet.
