In a recent flash trip to Poland, his staffers decided to book a reservation at Buetero Bistro in Warsaw. A place that is known online as a ‘queer space’.
Patrons at the place were utterly surprised by the visitor they had, who had a less than $10 meal alongside all his staffers. Countless people started taking snaps of a prince who seemed quite relaxed at this restaurant and looked to be enjoying himself quite a bit.
There were even a couple of smiles coming from him as he realized a lot of people started taking snaps at him with their phones. The Daily Mail broke this story first, they also spoke to a source who was at the restaurant as the prince dined inside.
This is what they said: “The team from Kensington Palace booked a local restaurant near where they were working, and the prince decided to join them. He asked them what they were doing and then asked them to come along. It was a great night by all accounts. The team really appreciated him asking to join them.”
The owner of the restaurant also revealed there was already a reservation for the same table for a woman named Daisy but they had to cancel it when the prince arrived.
He told The Daily Mail that the prince ate a pulled pork sandwich during the three hours he was there, meaning he probably liked what he ate. But this visit from Prince William to a queer-friendly space can be taken as support from him and a protest against a country with some of the toughest laws against the LGBTQ+ community.
In Poland, same-s*x marriage is still not recognized. Perhaps unavertable, perhaps not but Prince William is now an ally of the LGBTQ+ community.
