The Princess of Wales’s outfit for Monday’s Commonwealth Day service could be a subtle swipe at sister-in-law Meghan Markle as one particular designer is said to have caused “tensions'” between the pair.
For the appearance, Kate opted for a trendy floral jacket and matching skirt from one of her favourite designers, Erdem Moralioglu.
Earlier this year, reports emerged that Meghan and Kate were both fans of Erdem’s designs.
The Telegraph previously reported that Kate was prioritized over the Duchess of Sussex by Erdem, despite Meghan falling in love with his clothing during her acting career.
Although she donned the London-based designer’s clothes before entering royal life, Kate was said to have been given precedence over her sister-in-law.
It reportedly didn’t go down well with the Sussexes after Kate was handed the latest designs, with Meghan said to have fumed that Kate “wasn’t even Queen”.
