A superintendent accused of covering up accusation has been fired by a school board after a grand jury issued a damning report into the district’s handling of two sex attacks by a male pupil wearing a kilt.
A 15-year-old boy raped his female classmate in a transgender-friendly bathroom at Stone Bridge High School in Virginia in May last year.
The boy, who was wearing a kilt during the incident, was convicted of sexually assaulting another girl at a different school in October last year.
Loudoun County Superintendent Scott Ziegler denied there were any records of the assaults – with the grand jury report exposing him as a liar.
He has thus has been fired in a unanimous decision by the board shortly after a closed two-and-a-half-hour session on Tuesday night, the day after the report was published.
The father of the girl raped in a trans-friendly bathroom at Stone Bridge also slammed a grand jury for failing to find Loudoun County school officials criminally responsible for the incident – despite a report revealing they lied to parents.
Scott Smith fought for justice for his teenage daughter after she was assaulted by her 15-year-old classmate while at school in May 2021.
He was also pictured with a bloody mouth after being beaten and dragged out of a school board meeting where teachers lied about never receiving reports of sex assaults in the girls’ toilets.
His daughter was pinned down to the floor and assaulted by the boy inside a restroom stall, with a teacher later testifying that she saw two pairs of feet but did not interfere.
Initially, Scott and his wife Jessica asked for the boy to be given treatment for rehabilitation, rather than going straight to jail.
But after the second incident came to light, which involved a different girl, Scott has now branded the teen as a ‘psychopath’ – warning ‘we are going to hear about him again’.
A special report found that the second assault could have been prevented, and school district administrators lied to parents in an attempt to cover up the controversy over the transgender bathroom policy.
