Netflix insiders have said ‘significant requests’ have been made by the couple.
The show, which already has been pushed from its proposed release date of December, has been described as an ‘at-home with the Duke and Duchess-style’ docuseries.
Little other details have been unveiled at this point.
But the show’s future could now be in jeopardy following edit requests from Harry and Meghan, it has been reported.
A said: ‘They’ve made significant requests to walk back content they themselves have provided — to the extent that some Netflix staff believe, if granted, it will effectively shelve the project indefinitely.
‘Netflix is standing by the filmmakers.’
Another source told the publication: ‘Harry and Meghan are panicked about trying to tone down even the most basic language. But it’s their story, from their own mouths.’
The $100million (£80million) show has seen Harry and Meghan followed across the world by a camera crew led by Oscar-nominated director Liz Garbus.
Previously, the Duchess of Sussex described it as, ‘The piece of my life I haven’t been able to share, that people haven’t been able to see — our love story.’
