A social media content creator has been arrested and charged with criminal mischief after allegedly filming herself urinating on grocery store products, prompting an investigation and a product recall spanning four years.
The Keene Police Department in New Hampshire launched an inquiry on February 14, 2025, after receiving an anonymous tip about a woman—later identified as 23-year-old Kelli Tedford—who had posted videos online showing her contaminating items at a local store with urine, according to a police statement released on February 21.
Authorities worked closely with the affected grocery store, Monadnock Food Co-Op, to identify and remove the contaminated products in coordination with the local health department. As a precautionary measure, the store issued a voluntary recall for red quinoa, white quinoa, tri-color quinoa, cornmeal, polenta, coconut shreds, and raw walnuts, emphasizing that public health and safety remained a top priority.
“This was an unusual and serious situation, and we took immediate action in accordance with our food safety and recall protocols,” Monadnock Food Co-Op stated, adding that the Keene Health Department confirmed there were no ongoing risks. The store also pledged to strengthen security measures to prevent similar incidents.
During the investigation, police uncovered additional videos showing Tedford engaging in similar acts over the past four years. “It appears likely that similar incidents occurred in Keene and nearby areas, with some footage dating back to 2021,” authorities stated.
As a result of the contamination, Monadnock Food Co-Op reported financial losses exceeding $1,500 in damaged products and cleanup costs.
Tedford was taken into custody on February 21 and charged with class B felony criminal mischief. She was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in court on April 7 at the 8th Circuit Court in Keene.
Police confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing and that additional charges may be filed.
